Inspired, or uninspired by Twilight, I have begun to write my own little piece of fantasy fiction. I couldn't stand how flat the characters were in Twilight, no one developed, they all had the same mode of interaction everytime they saw each other.

And it was too happy. Being a vampire is a dark curse, one not to be taken lightly or made into an irresistable love interest.

I swore I could do better. That may be a bit bold, but I am trying. Gosh darn, I am trying. And yes, there will be love.

Anyway, wish me luck. I am having some trouble with the pacing. I am wildly impatient, and getting to main stuff right away, which makes for a rather short story. But I think, in the end, that it will end up well enough.

Also, I am in the market for a job. I have degrees in Religious Studies and Government. If you've got anything, let me know. haha

1. I prefer pre-modern times. I like to take up things and ideas from days past. The Middle Ages are fun. Mostly I think ancient and Medieval thought was more accurate philosophically than what we've got now.

2. In the vein of #1, I have taken up knitting and spinning. It's really calming, and it's like a connection to everyone who knitted or spun before you. Or maybe I'm just insane.

3. I LOVE celtic folk music so so so much.

4. Cats are awesome. I have five at home, and when I'm in Charlottesville (at school) I foster for the SPCA, ie I take care of them if they are sick or too young to be adopted until they are healthy and ready for adoption.

5. I'm engaged. A lot of people think that's weird.

6. I converted to Catholicism. A lot people think that's really weird too, ;-P

7. I am trying to build a small scale functioning trebuchet. (that's a type of catapult that works by dropping a weight). I did this in high school, but this time I want to keep it and actually use it. :-D

8. In August, I am hiking the last 56 mi of the Appalachian Trail in Maine. I recently (like in May) had my knee start hurting after hikes, so I have to try to work out all the little muscles and tendons and stuff so that it doesn't bother me on the trail.

9. uh...MissCyraf recently got me into my first anime: Bleach and we are working on an awesome fanfic for it, if only she would write her part. *grr at casey* lol

10. This summer, I am sporting a red bikini!

Hullo DA friends, It's summer that makes me happy, and look! I found a verbal meme, i didn't know those existed, but here goes:

Hello! I am officially on Spring Break from now until next Monday. Yay! This means that i will have more time to spend on Bleach drawing and writing and other fun things.
I am extra happy b/c Casey will not be in Las Vegas, but instead will be here and it will be awesome. We will learn to sword fight, shinigami style!

I say roommate because my roommate's boyfriend is always here. I don't really hate them, but right now its 2:30 in the morning, I have to wake up at 5:00 (thats in 2 and a half hours) and they are watching a comedy in the living room and laughing loudly. I'm not sure whether I want to shoot them or myself.

Theses suck. and so does early morning bus driving. Not that I don't love waking up at 5:00.
